Super busy time this week directing the British Mountain
Guides summer rock climbing training here in the Lakes.
Ben Tibbetts climbing in Langdale
Great being out with the new trainees on our
training scheme & very inspiring being around & part of such a super
motivated & talented bunch of climbers.
David Gladwin practising his short roping on Dow Crag, Coniston
Stuart McAleese & Steve Long came up from North Wales
& the 5 trainees came from all over the UK & France.
Mark Chadwick climbing in Langdale
Arc’teryx played a major part in sponsoring the BMG training
course which was fantastic, keeping the overall course costs to a minimum for
the guys.
Kenny Grant enjoying some crack climbing in Langdale
It was great to link up with Tim Hill from Big Stone (the UK
distributor for Arc’teryx) on the Wednesday evening & many thanks to Paul
Casey at the ‘Climbers Shop’ in Ambleside to give us a great venue for the evening session.
Will Sim enjoying the climbing this week
It was a great weather week here in the Lakes which helped
& you’ve gotta love the Lakes when it’s like this – blue skies & long
days up on Dow crag short roping, sunny days in Langdale guided climbing up on
Raven Crag, White Ghyll & Pavey Arc & a teaching day up in Borrowdale
on both Shepherds & Black Crag………..
And Oh yeh, Stu & I had a good thrash at the Fly Cave on
the last night!
Stay strong Stu!
